Walt Disney World this morning officially crowned Merida from Pixar’s “Brave” as the 11th Disney Princess. Her coronation ceremony fittingly took place in front of Cinderella Castle, just steps away from her own Magic Kingdom meet-and-greet spot.

Two lesbians have become the first gay couple to tie the knot at Tokyo Disney Resort, both decked out in fairytale white dresses despite an initial ruling that one had to wear men’s clothes. “My love Hiroko and I wore wedding dresses and had a mini-parade in DisneySea, a place I also love,” Koyuki Higashi, 28, said on Twitter.
“I was really happy!” she said. The event, which was held last Friday, was the first homosexual wedding in the popular amusement park even though gay marriage has no legal standing in Japan. “We may not have a law that applies to us, but when someone congratulates us for the wedding, I will proudly say ‘thank you!’” said Higashi. DISNEY has teamed up with US department store Barneys to immortalise a host of fashion's key names through a cartoon film that will be broadcast in the shop from Wednesday, November 14.
The short, entitled Electric Holiday, follows Minnie Mouse as she dreams her way to Paris Fashion Week. Along her travels, she comes across a selection of the industry's most famous faces - including Lady Gaga, Alber Elbaz, Carine Roitfeld, Sarah Jessica Parker and Mario Sorrenti. The film will be played on repeat on LED tiles that cover the two-story ground floor façade, WWD reports.

It’s that time of year again, where every store tries to get your undivided attention through their window display. Top designer department store Harrods has certainly pulled out all the stops this year. The Harrods Christmas windows, which were unveiled on 1st November 2012, are spectacular to say the least.
It is not just any theme, it is a Disney Princess display. Some of the biggest names in fashion have contributed their versions of the iconic fairytale damsels in their dresses, from Versace to Missoni, to Escada to Elie Saab.

Harrods will make every girl's dreams come true this Christmas when they unveil their festive windows at their legendary Knightsbridge store on November 1. An elite team of 10 womenswear designers, including Versace, Roberto Cavalli, Valentino, Oscar de la Renta and - fresh from kitting out the real life fairytale Luxembourg royal wedding at the weekend - Elie Saab, have been enlisted to re-imagine the iconic Disney Princess dresses.

Although it had previously been shared with media at a prior event, Walt Disney World has just officially released this concept art of the interior of the Princess Fairytale Hall which will be in the space once consumed by Snow White’s Scary Adventures.
The new home for visiting royalty in the Magic Kingdom, Princess Fairytale Hall will feature walls of stone and stained glass windows, a spacious gallery adorned with portraits of Disney princesses and elegantly finished rooms where guests can meet Aurora, Cinderella and other princesses. Set to open in 2013, as part of the next phase of the New Fantasyland expansion after the opening on December 6, 2012, Princess Fairytale Hall will be located in the Castle Courtyard in the center of Fantasyland.
